I tried upgrading from Easel 2.0.7 but it did not have any schemes available. Consequently my blog didnt display properly. I have the 3-column standard layout. Fortunately I back up the blog regularly. Are the schemes available now 3.0.4? If they are not going to be reinstated, I am concerned about future Easel releases for security enhancements. If I am stuck in 2.0.7 what can I do? Are there other blog templates that I can use with my current data (lots and lots of data)? Thanks in advance!
The forums have a section for the Easel (Theme) called “Child Themes” Those themes are the schemes that were in 2.0.7, you download the zip and use the appearance -> themes -> install new -> upload browse for the zip and click upload.
Go to appearance -> easel options and disable default scheme as well (usually)
Also, I check my forum 3-4 times a day to help people out, if your blog doesn’t display properly and you need some assist I can help out.
you are awesome, thank you!
OMG, I need the old version back!!! I do not have the time to repair everything!!!! I need it back now!!! Lost custom footer, images are not appearing in some plugins! AHHHHHHHH
You can find the download here: https://frumph.net/downloads/easel2.0.7a.zip
If you have backups I suggest using them, since your custom footer is your own creation and will not revert when you put back this version, and no idea about your images not appearing in some plugins.
There are child themes in the Forums area to get back the different “schemes” including the looks the old version had.
Ugh! I do not have time for this! You have add a disclaimer with next update that “this may totally screw up the look of your site.”
It was there when you viewed the information on upgrade, it’s also in the changelog and other informational areas. The “look” of your site is also available – again – as said made as child themes in the forums area of this site. While I understand you do not have time for this; there is nothing I can do but point you in the right directions and suggest doing backups next time with whatever theme you choose to use.
