Trying to catch up to the Morgan and King Edward is a rather plump man in an overly flashy robe which unfortunately is too long and trips him often.

Today is no exception, catching up to the two the large man trips and is about to fumble right into the previously proclaimed Emperor Morgan.  Too bad it’s a miss.   The man plunges right through him as if Morgan is a ghost.

“Whoops.” (Morgan)

Morgan snickers remembering he left the magic that made him Ethereal enabled.   Ethereal is a spell that allows the user and whatever he’s holding to be unaffected by physical contact.

Morgan while showing signs that he’s completely amused by the fumbling man reaches his hands out to help the man up.

“Are you alright Prime Minister?” (Morgan)

“Yes.. yes i’m fine!” (PM)

He wasn’t.  When he reached out to grasp hold of Morgans outstretched hands he couldn’t.

“Ahhh ahhhh!” (PM)

[“Ethereal Off”]

Finally able to grab onto the Morgans hands the Prime Minister let’s out a contemptuous sigh.

“What was that your excellency?” (PM)

“It’s an ability that doesn’t allow anything to be able to touch or harm  me.” (Morgan)

This world doesn’t have much knowledge when it comes to magic.  The only traces of magic has been from aged old men who have spent a lifetime studying to manipulate mana.

“Well as I was about to hear from Good King Edward here the outcome of what occurred after I left you came stumbling along.  I do apologize for laughing at the unfortunate mishap.” (Morgan)

The King and Prime Minister quickly glance at each other.  They hypothesized that Morgan was a God a long time ago.

“Now, as I was saying.” (Edward)

“We interrogated those who shone red and questioned those who shone blue.” (Edward)

Morgan understood what he meant by interrogated.  They tortured those people.

“We deduced for the most part what the Gods expect of us.”  (Edward)

“And that is?” (Morgan)

Morgan was waiting for this.  The King’s a sharp individual and can easily correlate information.

“The Gods do not like slavery.  They absolutely hate Murder. They love people who give to others out of kindness but not obligation.”  (Prime Minister)

“And?” (Morgan)

The kingdoms highest ranked officials glanced at each other again.

“I apologize your Excellency” (King Edward)

“This is all we have been able to deduce so far from analyzing the behaviors and pasts of the people we have … been involved with.”  (Prime Minister)

“This is an excellent start.  Have you made any edicts concerning those that you have figured out so far?” (Morgan)

“Yes, we’ve implemented laws and statutes for making slavery illegal kingdom wide.  As well as to subsidize those who employed slaves for work related tasks for 5 years time from the kingdoms own coffers.” (Prime Minister)

“So they can rehire those slaves as proper workers.” King Edward interjected.

“We’ve done away with most corporal punishments for anything lesser then murder and even then appointed a judicial committee to oversee all transgressions.” (Prime Minister)

“Utilizing a fining system for offenders who break the law we allow those people to work off their debt through a system we call Kingdom Services, those individuals if unable to pay their fines must spend their time working to the betterment of the Kingdom   They do earn a small stipend during that time for minor living expenses, shelter and food but nothing like if they were earning a normal wage.”  (King Edward)

“There were many immigrants who were women who have lost their husbands due to the demons that attacked their cities, farms and villages.  We have opened up the laws to allow polygamy to even the lowest of class.” (Prime Minister)

Morgan was thrilled about these changes.   It’s getting there he thought to himself.

“There’s something I want you to implement as well,  one of them being that the Nobles are inheritable jobs, they work for the people.   While the positions can be inherited by the kin of their families you must stress to them that if they do not do right by the job they hold they can be replace.” (Morgan)

King Edward puffs up his chest and proudly acknowledges this with a smile.

“I have always believed this, as the right method to govern.   Everyone who has a post understands this and if they don’t.  They are replaced promptly.” (King Edward)

“Sweet.”  (Morgan)

Prime Minister looks quite confused at this response.  (What’s ‘Sweet’?  Is he eating some sugar?  I didn’t see him eat some sugar)  He then shrugs and starts thinking it’s a God Thing.

After a little while of casually strolling around the sides of the castle they eventually turn around to head back to the training yard.   After an exhausting amount of time where no one said anything.  Morgan quietly proclaims to both the Prime Minister and King.

“My son will be arriving to this world soon.” (Morgan)

The King and Prime Minister both have their jaws drop.  They understood there was the Emperor God and apparently at least one amazing Empress God who has the ability to control Morgan-God with a fury.   .. However a new God on top of that which is their son.   They need to tell the churches immediately.

“Oh, .. and i’ll be taking your children.”  (Morgan)

Morgan leans down to kiss his wife Danielle as their son is walking through the door.

“Ehh come on!  ugh!  You guys are always at it!”  (son)

Their son takes his blazer off and hangs it on a coat hanger in the closet next to the door while casually slipping his shoes off then continues to the kitchen area.

“I’ll have you know we just started.” (Morgan)

“Dad…. ” (son)

(“He hasn’t had a girlfriend yet has he?”) (Morgon)

(“Nope, come here..”) (Danielle)

Morgan whispers to Danielle out of range of their son hearing.

An alarm starts to go off on a device attached to Morgan’s collar that has an emblem on it that is their families crest.    The sound is an alert from Morgan’s favorite campy sci-fi show ‘Space Trek’.

Morgan politely gets up off the couch while Danielle moves out of his way and he heads back to his study.  Opening up his console as he walks he checks the alert message.

[ World 323 – 1:1 Time Scale ]

After entering the study and closing the studies door he opens an entrance way on the wall on the opposite side, it’s the same height as his door to the study, its seams are glowing white around the edges and he steps inside.

It’s the throne room he recently left, however it is empty of people this time.

Lifting his hand up he starts to gather mana from inside his body and thinks to himself.

[“Invisibility”] [“Sound Proof Barrier”]

Morgan is now invisible and his body no longer makes any noise when he moves.  Walking up the steps to the door to the royal families living area he steps inside.

Looking around the only people he finds in the living area are the two guards guarding the bottom of the stairs at the front entrance of the living area.   He exits the area  while staring at the sun shining through the window.

[ It’s about noon, clear day .. I wonder where they are. ]

[“Ethereal”]

He walks straight through the wall and doors so it doesn’t appear like a ghost is opening and closing the front entrance ways, he goes outside.

The front of the king’s castle is a large garden on both sides of a cobblestone carriage turn-about that leads to the entrances.   In the distance past the main gates the city is alive with people.

To the right of Morgan, past the garden that surrounds the cobblestone road he see’s a group of soldiers practicing and a large canopy with some people watching the soldiers.   He notices immediately the King and Queen are there.

Casually walking towards the groups Morgan pauses for a moment while watching the Prince and Princess practicing their sword arts with the troops.  Then he continues on to where he’s standing right next to the King while they are sipping noon tea.

Morgan leans down closely to the King.

[“Invisibility Off”] [“Sound Barrier Off”]

“BOO.” (Morgan)

The King jumps up and freaks out. “Ahhh!!!”

Morgan can’t contain himself and starts laughing.   The soldiers weren’t very alert so it took themselves a second to draw their swords those who were practicing with the twins turned around and took a stance.

The Queen with a small giggle waves off the troop to stand down.

“Hah!”  The King  nods to Morgan and gives a polite (I’m the King I don’t bow lower then this to anyone) response to Morgan.   The Queen stands up and gives a Curtsy to Morgan and the twins rush forward and kneel with their swords at a respectful blade down.

“Good to see you all.. so how did it go?”  (Morgan)

The soldiers who were watching this interaction immediately turned towards Morgan and went down on their knee’s as well with respect.   They didn’t know who this person was but if they didn’t they felt they would get a lashing.   The other soldiers followed their example.

Morgan watched the soldiers do this and motioned everyone to get up and go about what they were doing.  The people who were watching from the windows of the court offices above the courtyard where the soldiers were practicing disappeared from staring down and hurriedly were rushing down to see what was happening.

“Shall we take a walk?” (King Edward)

“Hmm sure, it’s a beautiful day.” (Morgan)

[ Dear, it’s time for dinner. ]

The Emperor looked up for a moment.

[ Be there in a sec. ]

“Anyways, sorry about this, .. but Edward look into it yourself would you? I have to run or else i’ll face the wraith of my wife.”

King Edward stood up in shock, what he see’s before him was the proclaimed Emperor Morgan opening an entrance in front of him that appeared to be a passageway or door that glowed at it seams.

As soon as he was gone, glowing white circles appeared under all of the golden clad Knights and the armor and gear fell into the holes under them, what was left behind were the guards and knights of his own kingdom looking around as if wondering what happened.

In a room which looked like it was a study, a couch, bookshelf and a very beautiful office chair.  On one side of the room the same entrance that Morgan used appeared on the wall, it’s edges glowing a strong white glow.   He steps into the room and smiles as he appreciates his office that he’s put together since it was all due his tastes.

The door to his office opens.

“Ah there you are, are you still setting up his birthday present?”

A stunningly beautiful blonde woman who appeared to be in her early 20’s approximately the same looking age as Morgan was standing at the entrance way to the office wearing what appeared to be very comfortable modern clothes with an apron.

“Yes, although I should probably check up on them again after dinner.”

Morgan opened up a console that appeared in front of him, he motioned with his hands to two dials that were on the screen.

“Let’s see.. 10 years sounds good, no … the kids were still young, make it 2 years.  Dinner will take a couple hours so 2 hours set.”

The console changed information to display 2 years to pass in 2 hours.   With a [submit] button below.

Morgan pressed the submit button and followed his wife to another room in the house as the console faded away from his view.

“Well, what was it like?”

“The society was really bad except for one kingdom.   I ended up triggering a Demon Lord scenario that wiped away practically almost everything.   Although that kingdom showed a lot of promise and i’m sure our boy would like to not start completely from scratch.”

“Ah I see.”

“Dani  I have a favor though.”

Morgan looked at his wife using the pet name he gives her with puppy dog eyes.

“I already anticipated what you were going to ask.   My garden will be expecting some new pupils.”

Morgan in his mind noticed the Prince and Princess and thought how outstanding they were as children and how they were raised by such fine parents.

Both of  them were eating the dinner that Danielle – Morgan’s wife diligently cooked.  It was a nice sized steak with mashed potatoes, beef gravy and sides of steamed veggies.

“Where’s the boy now?”   Morgan looked at the empty seat that was supposed to have their son in it.

“He said he was going to spend some time with his friends since he’s graduating soon.”

“Well that’s alright then.”

After dinner the two went to the living room and were sitting together with the wife laying her head on his lap, they were watching a display on the wall that was showing some other’s who appeared to be around the same age as them showing off their worlds.

The front door opened which was easy to see from their vantage point and a young man wearing a school uniform stepped through.

The throne room can be described as a bit too over-the-top lavish.    A ballroom dance floor is currently covered by expensive rugs.   On the sides there appears to be pullout bleacher made of a rich dark wood that is stained to be glossy to which they are currently put back into the walls for which they came and covered with a solid red felt like tapestries that hide them.

The throne itself is at it appears to be made of the the same wood with golden finishes and etches.  It sits at the end of the huge columned room and raised by 3 stairs about a foot in height for each one.

The door King Edward and his family entered from was in the back behind the royal curtains that are placed on the top step.   Emperor Morgan can be seen standing next to the King’s seat and motioning as if to sit down as soon as he can.

To the left (right of the entrance looking at the throne) is the Queen Mothers chair which is made of the same wood and finish but not clad in the same golden etchings.   The two children sit in chairs to the Kings right.   Similar but smaller then the queens.

After they all take their places and finally able to focus on what was happening in front of them.

Every member of his court, from sages to painters, educators and  the prime minister; everyone who works in the castle itself were held down individually by a golden clad Knight; even the maids that were just recently cleaning the breakfast up were brought here.

The throne itself room, even as large as it is was filled from end to end with guards force-ably holding each person down.   To a wry smile of the Queen who noticed the youngest children were not held down she sighed worrying for their safety.

There, in the middle of the front of the group was the Prime Minister.

“You cannot treat our Royal Self like this!”

That same Prime Minister, the ear of the King, the one who quarrels with Edward was also of a noble rank, Duke.  If the King should fall he would be next in line after his son.  He is a portly man, true to the stereotypical arrogance that attaches itself to the royals.

“Oh do shut up.”

Emperor Morgan proclaimed.  Immediately the Prime Ministers voice could no longer be heard.  No matter what facial expressions he made nothing audible was found.

“Now Edward i’m going to do something and it might sting a little so please hold from screaming.”

Before the shock of what the Emperor had said Edwards eyes were covered by the Emperors hands.   King Edward screamed as he felt his eyes were on fire penetrating to the depths and back of his brain.

After a few minutes Emperor Morgan snapped his fingers in front of the King.

“Uhm, Edward .. you can open your eyes .. do they still hurt?  The residual pain should fade within the next 10 minutes, don’t stress.”

When King Edward opened his eyes he had to readjust how to see.   He concentrated on focusing first on his hands then at the crowd in front of him.

“Amazing…   Each person has a feint glow, blue…red… or yellow, what does this  mean? What did you do to me?”

“I gave you a gift.  Shouldn’t you be thanking me?”

“How do I know its a gift and not a curse I don’t know what those colors mean.  ..why is your glow golden?”

The Kings brain is finally registering some commonality to the colors.  All of the golden Knights had a feint white-yellow glow.  Most all of the children as well.   Intermixed were shades of red covering most of his staff the maids were all blue except one who was a deep red.   The King never liked that one so he starts to hypothesize on what had occurred.

“You changed my vision to see who I like and who I don’t?”

“Not quite.  What I did was give you God’s Eyes, to see who was evil and who is good.  By good I mean those who align with the moralities of the Gods.”

Murmurs and astonished looks came from everyone in the area that can hear them.  Some of the nobles even tried to forcefully get released from their predicament and escape.   The King noticed that they had a brighter red outline then the rest.

“So tell me Morgan, what is the criteria for which you say is morally objectionable that they would be tainted with this red glow.”

“Ah you are the wise King  that your subjects speak of to ask such a question.  It’s simple, Prime Minister you should be taking notes shouldn’t you?”

Emperor Morgan was surprised to find the Prime Minister had a light blue glow around him when at first he was placed in this room.   The Prime Minister motioned to one of the maids that was not tightly held down to fetch a quill ink and parchment.   Of course the maid was alert to what was happening and knew what he wanted, she giggles on the inside knowing that the Prime Minister still couldn’t talk.

“Go ahead and let him sit at one of the side tables to write.”

The golden Knight lifted his hands from the Prime Minister then walked to behind the desk where he wanted him to sit.

“Alright, here’s the list, do pay attention.”

King Edward who now appears to have been defeated mentally, slouched down in the chair where his breakfast was placed.  His chair, the one that he always used as the head of his country felt uncomfortable and foreign to him.

His eyes focused downward in shame, not wanting to look up at his what he thought the most precious possessions in his country – his family.

When he heard his daughter squeak out a simple “Father…” his mood went even deeper into sorrow.

The King was known as the most fair and righteous leader in all the lands.  Giving emphasis on the welfare of the people he nurtured the noble families to take the stance that the people employed them to govern, that they, the noble families were not above the common folk but were standing beside them.

He set motions to pay for education for all children from the kingdoms treasury,  he outwardly criticized and denounced anyone and everyone for discrimination between the genders and races.

To everyone in his country.   He was a good king.  Good King Edward.

He motioned to Edward and Elise, his children to come closer to him.  The moment they got close he surprised them with the hugs that only a doting father could give.

“It will turn out well.  You heard him, our people will not fall to ruin.”

“Father…”

The twins who recently reached the age of 12 hugged him back.  They knew how their father loved his country, his family and his ideals.

“Finish eating.” the mother Queen promptly stated.  “Remember your teachings, a proper breakfast will keep your heart and your mind healthy through the day.”

She had a small tear of happiness for her husbands loving nature.

Even with the uncertainty of what was going to happen they knew that it was important to keep a positive outlook even in the most dire of times.

The country of Ondalier is the smallest one on the continent, it was also the richest one.   Bordering the sea as well as safely encompassed by high and impassable mountain ranges.   The weather having 4 seasons were never harsh and the crops are able to grow healthy.

Unlike the rest of the world It was a good place to live.  Corruption, slavery and harsh winters were all too common in the northern countries.  To the south was desolation, wastelands and ‘the tribes’.

Standing up and pulling himself together.  The maids promptly adjusted the families clothing and cleaned up after the royal family.

“Thank you.”

King Edward said to his maids.  He was proud of them and often times told the castles staff he appreciated their efforts.

Preparing themselves to what was going to happen next, Edward held his wifes hand, the children following behind them and they headed towards the throne room.
