[ Just as I thought, these values show him to be a very loving, family orientated, honorable and loyal person. ] (Devlin)

After making some small tweaks I click the ‘reincarnate now’ button.

[ Reincarnation in Progress.  Error no compatible life forms present on World 323, instant birth and placement set to be near Administrator. ] (System Guide)

The ghostly version of fades away and where he was previously appears his reincarnation.

“Awww! Perfect! A puppy!  Since you have your memories i’m going to name you Yoko is that alright?” (Devlin)

The completely black puppy that is a Belgian Shepherd starts dancing around.   Feeling alive again and yapping like crazy, completely non-stop joy is emitted from this newly reincarnated pup.  The pup is about the size of my foot he’s so small!

Stopping his little happy dance Yoko the pup stops in front of Devlin and bows while emitting an air of happiness and respect.

[ That reminds me. ] (Devlin)

I head back over to the laptop and check my faith points.  The value is still 1, then I check the regeneration of faith points value, it now says three a day.

This is going to take a long time to get points.   Simple things like creating clothing only cost one point but i’m sure this temple I created cost me a large amount.   I imagine kicking myself in the but and believed it.

At that moment I flew across the room with a bruise on my butt and a person that looks like myself is waving and laughing from where I was standing before.  Being kicked across the room is no fun.

Heading out of the temple and standing on the bridge while leaning up against the railing I look at the sun in the sky.

[ System Guide how many minutes are there in a day here. ] (Devlin)

[ Exactly two thousand minutes in each day, in comparison to Earth that is one day nine hours and twenty minutes. ] (System Guide)

“That explains why the days feel a lot longer.” (Devlin)

[ System Guide since two thousand is a solid base ten to go off of.   Calculate the most appropriate time values that would be when the sun is at the highest point in the sky.  Using that with twenty hours per day, consider that to be noon or ten pm.  The first half of the day is ten hours the second have of the day is ten hours with one hundred minutes in each hour. ] (Devlin)

[ The time is now one-eighty-five post meridian, fifteen minutes until two pm, four hours and fifteen minutes until twilight.  At this latitude and longitude the day cycle lasts eleven hundred minutes and the night lasts nine hundred minutes.  This is the season that you would call “Spring”, During summer the days last for twelve hundred minutes while nights are eight hundred minutes.   During ‘winter’ there are twelve hundred minutes of night and eight hundred minutes during the day cycle. ] (System Guide)

[ Mary keep track of that for me. ] (Devlin)

[ Certainly. ] (System Guide)

Staring at the sky I have the feeling I forgot about something regarding the time scale on this planet.   This planet which I have no idea what it’s name is.  It’s obvious it’s not Earth but what would I call it.

[ System Guide does this planet have a name? ] (Devlin)

[ This worlds designation is three-two-three. ] (System Guide)

[ But what about it’s name? ] (Devlin)

[ This worlds designation is three-two-three. ] (System Guide)

[ You’re very helpful Mary. ] (Devlin)

After rolling my eyes and stretching my arms I start wandering around again, the rain has stopped and mud puddles are everywhere.  Several hours later the Toko runs up to my feet.

“Oh.. it’s dinner time isn’t it.  What can we do about that?  Okay Toko, let’s head back to the temple and i’ll use my remaining point for some food for today.” (Devlin)

I’m going to have to remember to save a point each day for food, only a point though.  I have a feeling I know how much a creation of a banquet table with food will cost just from the feeling I had previously when I used my powers before.

At the temple I concentrate on creating a long elegant table with a white table cloth, place settings, and enormous piles of different fruits and bowls of cooked meats that I remember from Earth.  I again have that feeling i’m forgetting something.  This is going to be a habit isn’t it?

When willing it into existence that last faith point was used but in the center of the temple was a long table that could easily fit  more then a dozen people with a nice spread of food and eating wares like plates, spoons, knives and cups.

“Oh I forgot the drinks!” I mumble while rubbing my forehead in shame.

“We can just drink the water outside in the lake for now, its being replenished from the mountain water, it should be clean.” (Devlin)

I look down at Toka while setting a large plate of meat down beside him.  He devours quite a bit right away showing me that he was indeed hungry.  This is probably his first meal in this form.

It’s been a long day for Devlin already, his first day here.   He’s thinking to himself that someone other then him would have probably been more prudent, but he originally had no idea that Faith Points existed.

Opening up his laptop again while laying on the marble floor, again realizing this is uncomfortable and he has no idea what he’s going to do about sleeping on it.  Though he’s thankful he has shelter at the moment.

Going to the status screen of the World 323 menu checking again, his Faith Points are zero as he though but for some reason his regeneration is now at five per day.  Switching screens over to the accounting portion it shows a new values.  One follower and one believer.

[ System Guide has are the faith points regeneration values calculated? ] (Devlin)

[ Refer to the information guide. ] (System Guide)

[ You’re a big help as usual Mary. ] (Devlin)

I’m still naked, forgot to make clothes so I head to the table, moving things around I grabbed the table cloth and wrapped it around myself like a Toga, there isn’t anything around me I could use as a belt to tie it together so I just keep it snug enough and hold it down.

Laying on the floor still, Toka crawls up to my legs and lays on the Toga’s end falling asleep.   Thinking to myself that a lot has happened today and I should make a list of things to accomplish to live here, my eyes close and I uncomfortably fall asleep.

Faith point generation value can be raised by the amount of followers or believers a God has.  A single follower can follow many different Gods but a believer is only applicable to a single God.

[ Mary I apparently need people to worship me.  This planet is empty right?  How do I get them? ] (Devlin)

[ Access the reincarnation cycle from the terminal. ] (System Guide)

“Oh sure, now you answer me.” (Devlin)

Going back to the desktop I see another icon that looks like a tombstone with ‘Reincarnation Cycle’ written below it.   Another screen pops up and its now a black and white version of the rotating planet.  Completely black.   On the right side is 2 boxes which say ‘Local Queue’ and ‘Connected world: #1 Queue’    There’s a nothing in the local queue but there’s a green box with a picture of that guy that’s currently hanging out within my temple.

Little drops of water start landing on me.  The clouds above look dark.  I hurriedly close the laptop and realize that i’m still naked and cant’ get the other items off the table, so I grab a handful of the cookies and run back to the temple.

“Of course i’m really stupidly far away”  (Devlin)

The rain starts coming down, pouring down soaking me.    Finally reaching the temple I enter and sit on the steps leading to my statue.

[ I hope I didn’t ruin the laptop, that wouldn’t be good. ] (Devlin)

Opening up the laptop and pressing the power button it turns on and goes back to the reincarnation cycle screen I was on previously.   I don’t have a towel or clothes.   Switching back to the World 323 application I see my status information again, the errors still there I need to remind me to finish setting parameters and save them.   For now I look at the Faith Points being two.  I imagine myself wearing my t-shirt, hoodie, underwear, jeans, socks and my tennis shoes.

looking at myself again i’m in my old clothes I normally wear, but now i’m getting them all wet.  Unintentionally avoiding asking myself why they fit comfortably with this fit body of mine and not baggy clothes they were before.

Eyeing my laptop my faith points went down by one again, so I only have one left.

[ Not good.  Only one faith point left. ] (Devlin)

On the Reincarnation Cycle screen again, I still see the same picture in the queue box on the right, highlighted by a green border.    Clicking on it brings up a status screen of information on this person.

Name: Yamaguchi, Yokoeza

Cause of Death: Self inflicted suicide, Seppeku

Information:  This soldier refused to kill prisoners of war which shamed his family.   His officer made him kill himself.   It’s the open of this information recorder that it was not suicide regardless of what is written in the Cause of Death.   Their society utilized an Honor system and this person had an extreme amount of faith in that system.  – Toko #14311

NOTE: Okinawa Japan, 1970 Lost track of target.   Complete disappearance.   Probable cause, possession.  – Toko #14311

NOTE: Not happy about this case, in all accounts he should have entered the reincarnation cycle just fine, even given bonuses.   I fear that there might have been an influence that made him run.   Ref: Yokai

Soul Value: 1200

TAGs: Runaway Consciousness, Needs Reprimand, Whereabouts Unknown

Currently summoned soul.

There are 3 more boxes underneath the information. ‘Reincarnate’, “Resurrect’ , ‘Transfer’

“Toko must be the name of the person that added the information on his record.” (Devlin)

[ If I resurrect him, his soul and consciousness are here so he’ll probably revive here as well.  I don’t feel he has earned resurrection though since he ran away and hid. possessing bodies.  Besides that bastage ruined my life. ] (Devlin)

I click on the Reincarnate button and another screen pops up which allows me to choose values like race, age, sex with a custom button below it.  Since i’m going to reincarnate this guy, I don’t really like him for he did but he was generally a good person if Toko wrote is true but still, the negatives of what he did to my life.   I move closer to him and still seeing him cry.

“Those tears must be from when you died and they stuck with you, right?” (Devlin)

Yokoeza looks up at me so I know that he heard what I said.  He just stands there solemnly and nods his head.

“Do you regret possessing me?” (Devlin)

He nods his head again with an even more sorrowful look.

“Did you do it on purpose?” (Devlin)

Yokoeza then shakes his head.

“Did someone or something force you to do it, or cause you to possess me.” (Devlin)

Nodding vigorously now with his hands clasped together, there’s a vibe I get from him that still shows him as being sad, sorrowful and full of remorse.

“I believe you.  Though I can’t send you back to time you were at and I can’t resurrect you how you were previously, but I can reincarnate you.” (Devlin)

Yokoeza immediately went into a dogeza position with his hands still clasped as if begging.

“Oh, but you owe me.  I will make it so you don’t forget everything you’ve done, the good and the bad and how you ruined my life by manipulating me.” (Devlin)

The ghost just nodded while his head still tilted down in that position.   I headed back to the laptop with his information still up.   Clicking on the reincarnation button another window pops up and I select the option for him to retain his memories, the next screen allowed me to select his race and sex.  The dropdown for race is huge, at least several thousand entries there.

[ Oh ..that’s a good one. ] (Devlin)

I found the one that would be perfect for him to reincarnate to, I chose the customize options and fiddled around a bit adjusting some values.   The next page was personality with at seven hundred different sliders that you could scroll though.   I found several and adjusted them.

[ Just as I thought, these values show him to be a very loving, family orientated, honorable and loyal person. ] (Devlin)

After making some small tweaks I click the ‘reincarnate now’ button.

Still the temple seems a bit empty and its rather dark inside even though there are stained glass of random patterns on each floor.    I then spotted something on the side wall near the entrance, on the right side.

Approaching what I see, it’s a terminal?   I walk closer and it’s screen is still black and I don’t see any buttons or keyboard.

“I’ll figure that out later.” (Devlin)

Walking out of the temple over the marble bridge I look behind.

[ This crater lake is still rather large, I could fit another thirty of these same sized temples side by side before I even get close to the edge of the lake.  Since this is my world now, i’ll need to have a place to live. while i’m here. ] (Devlin)

Walking back inside to where the statue is, there is plenty of room on each side.

[ Okay, lets do this.  I’ll add a hallway to a private residence. ] (Devlin)

I start to imagine a hallway with a smaller set of double doors to the left of the statue that leads to a marble mansion with dining, office and bedrooms.

[ Let’s see how much the universe can fill in the gaps. ] (Devlin)

[ Error. ] (System Guide)

[ Explain. ] (Devlin)

[ System administrator still offline.  thirty-three minutes left until initialization. ] (System Guide)

Thinking to myself the voice of Mary, the System Guide stirs up memories of that person.  I really messed up not trying everything I could to be with her.  I than imagine myself cussing out the ghost that ruined my life.    Then I start seeing something next to me.  A translucent old Japanese man in an old world war two uniform with a sword embedded in his belly.

[ Oh that’s gross, the insides are all coming out. ] (Devlin)

The translucent ghost just stands there with what appears to be tears in his eyes, for some reason I feel very close to him.   Everything I imagine right now doesn’t happen.  I wanted to will him to be gone but he’s still there.

[ Mary, how much time left until the overlay is initialized? ] (Devlin)

[ Twenty-Eight Minutes. ] (System Guide)

I leave the temple, looking back he’s still there, he can move, I saw his arm touch the sword in his belly several times already, still with the sad look on his face.   I sigh and keep wandering around the plateau that i’m on.

After awhile of just meandering here and there I get the notification from Mary.

[ System Administration Overlay Initialized. ] System Guide\

[ Okay now what Mary? ] (Devlin)

[ Use currently materialized console, or embed optic reference system? ] (System Guide)

[ Well this is interesting, Mary what is the optic reference system? ] (Devlin)

[ Retinal implants to allow system dependent screens to display. ] (System Guide)

[ Fine, lets go with that. ] (Devlin)

[ Error, not enough faith points. ] (System Guide)

[ Faith points!? ] (Devlin)

[ Use materialized terminal to access information guides. ] (System Guide)

I then walk over to the glass table with wicker chairs.   It takes awhile since it’s nearly a half mile away right now seeing how I built the temple in the center.   Sitting down in front of the laptop I open it up and turn it on.   It only takes seconds for it to come up with a Windows 10 like environment.

[ I forgot the mouse. ] (Devlin)

I hated using the built on touchpad so I used a mouse instead.   I’m apparently just as neglectful as I was before I died.  Oh a new icon.  World 323 is labelled below it and it appears to be a thumbnail of a rotating planet that looks like the one I created.   I click it and the black screen with stars appears with the same planet rotating around, a box in the upper left has my name, title and several sets of information.

Devlin DeAngelo

Level: 1 – God

Titles: Lord of Creation and Destruction

Faith Points: 2

Error: No base system set, [ Alter System Parameters  ]

The touchpad moves slowly from my thumb, oh wait my screen is tough sensitive I move the pointer to the Alter System Parameters clickable area and tough twice.   Another window opens up in front of the rotating planet in the background.

“There are a page full of clickable areas on this, at least twenty.” {Devlin)

I click on the first one which says [ Environment ]

There are another twenty options on this page.  They’re all dropdown.  The options all appear to how the planet’s atmosphere and world design like percentage of mountains, forests, rivers and oceans.   They’re not clickable.

Clicking the close button on all of these parameters i go back and click the button labelled ‘System Wiki’ and a browser opens up with a search box.   I input ‘faith points’ and click the search, the first entry to come up is the faith points guide.   Clicking on that.

Faith points is a value that a God has that determines what they can do with their attributed powers.   Much like a unit of value, a monetary system that can be spent while utilizing those attributed powers.

Exiting the screen I notice that the ‘Faith Points’ is now clickable so I click on that.

Two clickable areas appear, one is “Buy” the other is “Purchases”, there’s a value in the upper right that shows a value of 2/day.   So that must mean that I earn 2 faith points a day?

[ Mary how do I increase the amount of faith points a day? ] (Devlin)

[ Refer to the manual on faith points. ] (System Guide)

[ Argh! Mary just answer the question! ] (Devlin)

[ System Guide cannot provide information without upgrade. ] (System Guide)

[ Oh so I can upgrade the System Guide, good to know. ] (Devlin)

I close this screen and go all the way back to the information screen for faith points.  I should be a little perturbed over this but i’m not.

Faith point generation value can be raised by the amount of followers or believers a God has.  A single follower can follow many different Gods but a believer is only applicable to a single God.

“I see.   I should make this easier on me and imagine it like one of those base building games I like to play, that have an outline of what I want to create then trigger it into existence with an action.” (Devlin)

“If that makes you like it’s easier for you, at least until you get the hang of it, for sure!” (Morgan)

“I expected myself to be a bit overwhelmed but weirdly enough i’m not.” (Devlin)

In my imagination I remembered back in years, how I was thinner, healthier, better looking my hair style.   Using that image I quickly willed myself to believe that’s how I am now.

Looking at myself my body changed near exactly.  I am now younger looking, about 21 years old at my peak.   Still nude for some reason I have ABS and toned muscles!

[ I never had toned muscles and abs before, this is a shock. ] (Devlin)

“… talk with your mouth not your mind.” (Morgan)

“I was never this fit.” (Devlin)

“You are now, hah you’re good at this.  Alright, I have to get going, the wifey gets pretty upset if i’m not home for dinner.” (Morgan)

“Wait!  What do I do now?” (Devlin)

Morgan waves his right hand goodbye and what appears to be a door like entrance way with light emanating from its sides shows up next to him.

“Ask the system guide.” Morgan nods and enters the lit up entrance and both him and that entrance disappears without any effects, it just goes away.

I’m still sitting on the white wicker chair, cookies and tea are still present.  Pouring myself another cup and adding sugar I start thinking or rather talking to myself internally in my mind.

[ How would I start talking to the guide? ] (Devlin)

[ System Guide. ] (Devlin)

[ Acknowledging primary ownership.  Devlin Deangelo as administrator of World 323. Confirm. ] (?)

This voice in my mind sounds like the voice from my phone’s GPS navigation.

[ Confirm? ] (?)

[ Yes, confirmed, affirmative. ] (Devlin)

[ Associate name with System Guide? ] (?)

Picking up a cookie and taking another sip of tea.  [ Yes, confirmed. ]

[ I’ll call you Mary, answer to both Mary and System Guide. ] (Devlin)

I also imagine the voice to be a bit more pleasant, thinking back to one of my ex-girlfriends who had an amazing voice who’s singing always captivated me, in my fuzziness of being possessed we had a difficult time being together and after a half a year she was gone.   I miss her.   I believed her voice was the systems voice.

[ System administration overlay will initialize.   One hour and thirty minutes until completion. ] (System Guide)

It didn’t feel like my now boss Morgan was here very long at all, it was still morning as far as I could tell.   I start walking around observing.    Finally reaching the edge looking down at the prairie and river 200 or so feet below.   I need to fix this.  Turning around at the lake which was once a crater I start to imagine in my head a Grecian temple a huge one with marble pillars all around it, lifted and in the center of the crater lake.   Rose bushs of every color encircling it with marble steps leading from the raise to a marble bridge with intricate designed railings both around the temple and bridge.

I tend to close my eyes while imagining, it’s a bad habit and I know that I don’t need to.   Opening my eyes I see a translucent version of what I imagined in front of me.   Oh yeah I haven’t willed it it into reality yet.   I noticed when I moved my hand I could grab onto the translucent image and move it.

[ This is just like that fallout game I played. ] (Devlin)

I start adjusting it’s position by just moving it around, I found the perfect spot for it.  If you compare the size it was as I was imagining it.  Roughly six stories high and there are ten pillars in the front around eight feet separating each one, five on each side with a gap between the left and right where another pillar would be but instead is for the entrance way.  Additionally it’s fourteen pillars long, with about eight feet between each one.   I willed it into existence.

[ I forgot to imagine the interior.  ] (Devlin)

I start walking up to it, noticing the ridges on the pillars and the steps that leveled the building.   The archway for the entrance has a large golden double door.   At least fourteen feet high.

[ The rose bushs really look out of place leading directly into the water like that, i’ll fix it later. They’re pretty though so maybe if I make a garden path raised above the lake that goes around. ] (Devlin)

I enter the temple i just created, opening one side of the large golden doors.   Looking inside I was amazed.   Looks like the universe did indeed fill in the gaps to what I wanted.  A giant statue of myself at the end, more pillars on each side holding up the angled roof.  Walkways that lead all around of each floor that kept the center area open and expansive.   I then walk up to the be closer to the statue at the end.

[ Oh this is bad. ] (Devlin)

Using my imagination again I imagined the statue now sitting on a throne wearing a type of togo and not nude!   I immediately willed it.

The statue now looks like the thinking man statue about ten times larger then I am while sitting on a marble throne.   The plaque below it, is I imagined it to be.   Lord of Creation and Destruction, Devlin.   I omitted my last name, no one needs to know that

Still the area seems a bit empty and its rather dark inside even though there are stained glass of random patterns on each floor.    I then spotted something on the side wall near the entrance, on the right side.

“So I am going to assume some things, right?  First in my old life I died and while I was floating in nothingness I created my own heaven for my soul to live in for the rest of my days?” (Devlin)

With an amazed look on his face Morgan starts smiling.  “Amazing!  You’re so close!”

“You died, I brought your soul here which in essence is your conscience here to this are of the universe.   When you got here you, yourself thought into existence this planet, it’s moon, the star it resides under, the other planets in this system and everything that had to exist for this planet to be here into a reality.” (Morgan)

I put the cup down as it was now empty and just stared while being dumbfounded.

[ I did this? ] (Devlin)

“You’re using your inner voice again.” (Morgan)

“I did this?!” (Devlin)

“Yes, you did.  You had help though, the universe itself filled in the gaps of course.   What you did without any prior explanation on what to do in itself is amazing ya know.” (Morgan)

“I guess it would be.  You mind if I ask you who you are though?” (Devlin)

Morgan than stands and stairs up into the sky.   It was still the morning to what I could tell and the sun wasn’t yet at its peak.

“I’m what you call an Administrator.  This is one of my areas that are within my domain.  A domain is a section of the universe where an Administrator has control over.” (Morgan)

“So you’re a God?” (Devlin)

“Oh you’re so close again!  No i’m not a God, consider me as the manager of a company, not quite the CEO but in charge of a division.    You coincidentally in that context work for me.” (Morgan)

Since my brain was fuzzy for so many years I never really held a job.   I spent my time on the internet helping people with their own websites and enjoying online games to keep my mind occupied.   At least that’s how it turned out since my brain and my actions didn’t work properly since that time.

I now have a idea about what happened.

[ I died, he brought my consciousness here to work for him. ] (Devlin)

“You did it again, talking in your head instead of just talking.” (Morgan)

“Sorry, old habits.   My thoughts and talking didn’t always do the same thing.” (Devlin)

Morgan than turned around and stared at me with an angry frown while I was sitting still on the white wicker chair.

“You were possessed.   Another consciousnesses who escaped from their own end attached itself to you.   Your capacity for thought was large enough for it to hide in you, then eventually taking over you. ” (Morgan)

“Ah?  That does explain why I always felt like I was looking through the eyes of someone else.” (Devlin)

“You’re still taking this quite well.” (Morgan)

“No idea why.” (Devlin)

The ghost that inhabited my body is probably the one that was inducing myself into panic.

“So what now?” (Devlin)

“What do you think of religion? I mean in an essence about a God or Gods that rule over the world.” (Morgan)

As I sit though thinking back to my earlier days.

“Religion is a necessary tool to help ease the minds of the people that don’t want to understand the science behind events that happen.” (Devlin)

“I knew I liked you.” (Morgan)

“Thanks, … I guess? (Devlin)

His angry face is no longer apparent and Morgan was once again smiling.

“Your job here is to be this worlds God.  Or one of them.  This is the world you created so you will be the God of Creation and Destruction.   Whether or not your decisions lead to having more Gods with you is entirely up to you. (Morgan)

I’m currently sitting with a what could appear to be in deep thought but I am just in a stupor.

“When I got here I placed some safeguards and made some settings to the systems parameters that will help you and also stop you from going overboard.  I know you spent a lot of time at your computer, whether or not it was you or the ghost that was manipulating you, your ‘self’ also understood everything you were doing.   This is going to make things easier.” (Morgan)

“In what way?  There’s no technology here.” (Devlin)

“Isn’t there?” (Morgan)

“This is apparently a world that I just created, I haven’t seen any creature habitations or signs of any life of any kind when I was approaching, how could there be.” (Morgan)

“Your will.  You are the God of Creation and Destruction now.  What your imagination can think of will happen.  Lets give it a try.  Imagine a laptop, everything about it and don’t worry the universe will fill in the gaps, whether you know how the internals work or not.” (Morgan)

For the next couple of minutes I imagined the laptop I used to own, the screen size, the monitor, all of the ports and connections and I imagined it on the glass table next to me.

“Good, I see you have a clear picture of it, you have an incredible imagination, i’m impressed again.   Now you have it imagined .. Will it into existence.   Just imagining it doesn’t make it happen, you have to believe what you imagine to happen.” (Morgan)

I then believe it’s going to be on the table next to me, when I stop imagining it, it is there.

“Don’t go overboard and just believe in creating just anything, the system will stop the ability of just creating anything and everything, it has to be with a pure belief of wanting it to happen for your creation or destruction ability to work.” (Morgan)

“I see.   I should make this easier on me and imagine it like one of those base building games I like to play, that have an outline of what I want to create then trigger it into existence with an action.” (Devlin)

“If that makes you like it’s easier for you, at least until you get the hang of it, for sure!” (Morgan)
