Hello folks, i’ve moved hosting for all my sites and working on them right now.
So if something is wrong; that’s the reason.
Unfortunately I lost the forum and posts, had to create new database tables for it.
similar incident happened to me and around the same time (May 10th) I also switched hosts. Just Host kept on suspending my account for server usage exceeding 10 percent. I switched to Ipage, and only recently been able to get my site back up to speed. Ipage has server errors often causing database (Apache Server) disconnects, and or server lag times. After several complaints and negative advertising the site is back up.
Any way Phil, I found your Easel Theme excellent and load times are fast,as well as only transmitting 35 requests with a total of 120k page load with graphics. My average load time with Easel is 1.2 seconds compared with as example “Magazine basic” a theme allegedly 3.1 and PHP5 capable, whose load time is 4.2 seconds.
It is very bad news that your old database is gone, is it possible to find an old backup from your old host expand it and then import it into the present database? It was packed with great information and is missed by my self and others .
wishing you good look with the new host, and perhaps a group can be formed somewhere in the blogosphere where we can review and comment on host services before buying into them.
One question though is there a way of removing and increasing text area width in posts ?

I’m not sure I understand the increasing text area width in posts thing; can you email me with example and more info? (or use the new forums) 😉
what happens is if I disable sidebars left and right the post area remains the same width as if the sidebars were there EK post width 500 with side bars, and still 500 without. I would like to be able to have the post width the full width of the page EK 800 0r 1200 depending on the browser.
Also I noticed the registration page for your site very cool!!! would like to do something like that for my site so I can eliminate a plugin (theme my login)

body.wide .narrowcolumn, body.signup .narrowcolumn { width: auto; }
just put that somewhere in your companion, or child theme or someplace in your CSS (if in the main style.css put it at the bottom)
thanks and hoping this new host is good, I been through 2 hosts and still have not found any one decent.

Host gator I heard from a few others they are very good

Stay away from Dreamhost if you think you’ll get more than 3k hits/day. They throttled me until I lost half my readership 😛
