WordPress Instructions

The ComicPress 2.8 installation instructions are still valid for 2.9. With this exception:

ComicPress NEEDS to be installed into a ‘clean’ wp-content/themes/comicpress directory. You CANNOT overwrite any other version since the files have changed in both name and in some cases extension.

WPMU Instructions

1) Some features require PHP 5 so thats the minimal php version.
2) Must be using ComicPress Manager (plugin)
3) Inside the theme is a “wpmu” DIRECTORY inside that directory is the file comicpress_manager_wpmu.php copy that file to the mu-plugins directory.
4) ComicPress Child themes WILL work with WPMU
5) With ComicPress Manager activated, go to comicpress manager -> manager config a dialog will appear that says ‘create directories’ let it create those directories, those directories will appear in the appropriate blogs.dir/#/files area.
6) Make sure you follow all the other normal installation instructions like having 3 categories, uncategorized, blog, and comic and set them in comicpress manager.
7) Use ComicPress Manager’s Upload comic to upload your comic with the appropriate filename convention and your a go.
